If your watch shows signs of malfunction or the deviation of the accuracy of its mechanical calibre is bigger than stated, it will need to be seen by our experts who will service and repair it. ROBOT watches are under warranty for a period of eight years. This warranty covers all manufacturing and hidden defects. During this period we will repair your watch free of charge. To guarantee this 8 years warranty we require that you entrust your watch for a standard inspection in our watch-service between 4th and 5th year since production date of the watch. After the eight-year warranty expires, we will still take care of your watch. Repairs on an out-of-warranty basis will be carried out at your cost. Please note that regular servicing and repairs of damage or malfunction caused by improper use are always charged for. The extent and cost of repairs vary from model to model and it depends on the degree of damage. The price will be quoted on a case-by-case basis in advance of any work being carried out. The price will be based on an hourly rate set for the work of the watchmaker and the cost of spare parts needed. If you ever feel there may be something wrong with your watch, do not hesitate to contact us.
We will always take care of it.
The eight-year warranty does not cover the following:
A ROBOT watch is meant to be worn on the wrist. If you mount it on vibrating objects such as a bicycle frame, a car's dashboard or similar and cause it damage this way, the warranty will not be honoured.
The eight-year warranty will be discontinued immediately if:
The warranty is valid only for ROBOT watches acquired legally.
The eight-year warranty does not apply to leather and textile straps. Rubber and metal straps are guaranteed for the period set by the current consumer law. The same applies to other products included in the packaging and the packaging itself.
Here is some basic information about it. If you have any questions or need any advice, we will be more than happy to help you. Just call us on +420 702 293 509 or send an e-mail to servis(at)robot-watch.cz.
Always wind your watch while taken off your wrist. Winding it on your wrist puts unnecessary strain on the winding stem. With the crown in its basic position, hold it between your thumb and forefinger and turn it repeatedly clockwise until you feel resistance. Do not overwind your watch.
Pull out the crown two little clicks and start turning it clockwise. Keep going until the date changes. This will happen in the 12 o'clock (midnight) position. Continue until the hands show the right time. Push the crown back in.
To correct the date, pull out the crown one little click and turn it anti-clockwise until you reach the correct date. Push the crown back in.
As with all mechanical watches, do not set the date if the hands are between 10 pm and 2 am. Doing so may damage the mechanism. First set the time and then the date.
Now your watch is ready for use.
Your watch is protected against the water with the help of a gasket and sealing, as well as its overall design. You can wash your hands, get wet, or even go for a swim without damaging it. Diving, however, may cause it damage that is not covered by the warranty. The leather strap is not water-resistant. Water-resistance is a temporary property which can be impaired by improper handling. If your watch gets in frequent contact with water, we recommend that it be regularly resealed and pressure tested.
The watch does not require any special care. A soft cloth is sufficient for cleaning. To ensure that your watch functions properly, do not expose it to magnetic fields or big jumps in temperature. Mechanical damage, for example, caused by a fall, can damage the mechanism, the case surface and the strap, and impair water resistance. The warranty does not cover defects caused by mechanical damage.
From time to time, your watch should be adjusted and inspected. We recommend that you entrust your watch to our experts every five years. They will clean it and make sure the water resistance is up to scratch and the movement is working fine.
Manufacturing and/or hidden defects are covered by an 8-year warranty. We strongly recommend that the watch be entrusted to our experts for servicing half way through the warranty period.
